. . . I know a little about that. When we first started traveling together, she and I fought all the time. I think we both felt we could not do a thing without talking past one another or starting a fight.

Yeah, it's kind of the same with someone on my ship back home. But he also had a really good reason not to like me.

I've never been good with people, so it's not like it's surprising or anything. It's just... frustrating. I don't know how I'm supposed to talk to her when this just keeps happening.

She is. . . she is a fierce person. She says how she feels bluntly. It can come off as harsher than she intends it. If you disagree with her, she will argue, but it doesn't mean she dislikes you.

I'm not even trying to argue with her most of the time, but I still say something wrong somehow. We've had a total of, like, two conversations that didn't turn bad, and one of them was just about pranking someone in the dorm.

[It's okay. He frankly doesn't care if Leo likes Beau or not, but his comment at trial about every conversation between them going wrong was too familiar.]

. . . All I mean is that I don't know that you're really saying the wrong thing or doing anything wrong. She butts heads with people.

I guess I just don't know what to do about it. We're supposed to all be working together to figure this place out and find a way home, but if we can't do that...

[ he shrugs, helpless. ]

Talking around each other all the time isn't going to help anyone.
