I don't know if it's an airborne sort of thing, but apparently I got it.

Not sure, but I've been there for a while now so they might let it slide. Me and the master smith kind of did a huge thing not too long ago so they're still pretty happy about it and I'm gonna ride those waves as long as I can, buddy.

[ He waves a hand dismissively, whether or not Jason can actually see it. ]

Whatever. Details. They're there, either way. Just let me know when you're ready to roll and we'll go!

[ Please, no. He only just got Jason back; Leo can't lose him again this soon. There's no way he's going to stand for that. ]

Well... yes, I've got the silver thing, but it's not that bad yet, and everyone's been researching the cure for it so... I'm not worried.

Besides, maybe your friend the master smith and I could talk about what all he knows about silver. It could lead to something. We've chased down stranger leads together, haven't we?

[And he's serious about that. He's still trying to keep a clear head about this because as weird as it is, he's still confident that amnesia was worse.]

[ Leo is. Leo's definitely worried. But there is little he can do except try to see if they can find a cure, so he's not going to show it. ]

That's exactly what I was thinking. I figured if anyone would know something about this, it would be him. [ And it gives him another reason to convince them to let Jason in the door, he supposes. ] If he does, he'd be able to show us right then and there, too, and we could spread the word.

Alright, glad we're on the same page. I'll see you at the stables soon. I should be fine flying and staying near enough to the pegasus you end up riding.

[Thank goodness there are still people who can help him with directions. It doesn't take long at all to find the stables and land with a soft thud.]

Dude, I have a ring that lets me teleport wherever I want in Glaschu, [ Leo says, leading a pegasus from the stables with a grin. It's all saddled up already, though he did need some help from the stablehand to figure that part out. ] I've been here. You ready to go, or what?

I've sort of gotten wind of this name that might be worth looking into in terms of knowing things about the Void etc etc. But he's sort of a hassle to get in contact with, and I'm a little occupied [with what? orgies, probably] and I thought, being the demi-god type, you might be interested in having a crack at the entire thing.

[ Oh, a quest. That's fine - just like old times, actually. And if it gets him some more information on the Void, that's a good reason for him to go. Pretty much all he knows so far is that it's terrifying and swallows everything in its path. ]

Doesn't sound like anything I haven't done before. Who exactly am I supposed to be looking for? And I'm guessing you don't know where to look, right?

Tragically, no. The name is 'the Man-Eater' which is about as ominous as it sounds. Apparently he's a shardhunter who has traded shards for a lot of information on the Void. He's worked with the Seelie court frequently, so maybe asking around will be a good place to start?

Man-Eater? Don't tell me I just volunteered to be someone's dinner.

[ And a shardhunter at that? Holy Hephaestus, maybe he should've thought this through first.

...He's totally still going to do it, though. If he let the potential of being eaten stop him, he'd never get anywhere. Besides, he's already thinking of who to talk to about this. ]

And you want that information. I'm telling you right now, I'm not going to give him my shard for it. But I'll see what I can find.

I'm pretty sure it's just evocative, but I'll hook you up for protection anyway. I'd rather not give Shards away to some recluse who lives—[well, Dorian doesn't know. So]—somewhere. [If Dorian was going to be letting people lose their shard, he would TRY TO GET THE SHARD HIMSELF. Fuck his life. He really needs one, dammit.]

Not any more that I got out of my informant. He was annoyingly not forthcoming. [Stupid jerk Midnight Court member. Should've just reached into his head.]

I can see if I can find you a couple teleport rings or something else to get you out of there in an emergency. I'll have to do asking around.

Good to know the informants are doing their job, [ he says dryly. ] But okay. I'll figure it out and report back later!

[Jason gives Leo a look that's completely incredulous. What a riot, this friend of his.]

You didn't think to tell me this before I flew out here? You could have had the decency to pick me up or something!

[Although he's not too mad because he realizes that it could have possibly had an adverse affect on his Silver Sickness - or worse, even infected Leo. So he's not going to put up too much of a fuss.]

I'll just fly alongside your ride if that's okay then.

No, I just wanted you earn it first, [ he replies, rolling his eyes as he mounts. ] I can't bring other people with me, duh. That's the first thing I would've done. Besides, Troichean Beinn is technically outside of Glaschu, so it wouldn't matter even if I could.

[ Because screw this silver stuff. Instant gratification, baby! ]

I don't think it'll mind. It'll just think of you as another giant bird - just a really weird looking one.

Well, the Queen asked me to learn more and try and contact the gods of this world.

And she said I should speak to you about one named Kaio?

Makes sense, you being a god and all. They might be more willing to listen to you than anyone else, even if you're from a different world.

[ His entire countenance lights up at the one name - Kaio. ]

Kaio, yeah! I was talking to her about him too, actually - he's the fire god I helped forge a while back. What do you want to know?

Well, I'd like to know more about him, actually. And possibly try and find him, or shrines to him.

[He shrugs nonchalantly.]

I know that he's a fire god, and he has a connection to you...but that was about all. But if you helped forge him...heh...even an oaf as thick as me can work out that you'd be the man to talk to.

I was going to try to find him again soon, actually. [ And this because of his own talk with Solais. Coincidence? He thinks not! ] Aside from the ones we have out here, I know Riku built a bunch of shrines around Glaschu. I was going to start there. If you want, we could do it together.

[ More about the god...? It's been a while since Leo had last seen him, but... ]

Well, I guess to start, he's the god of fire and smoke, officially. It was me and Bordan Gret who made him, after we lost Mt. Verla and all the fire magic in the Drabwurld. Kaio's supposed to fix that if he gets strong enough, but he's still a puppy, so it'll only come back when he's nearby.

[ He hums to himself, thinking through their options. ]

Hermione and I made a bunch of toys for him a few months ago and left some at the shrines. I've got the rest, and we can bring some charcoal - he likes it - along with regular dog treats to see if he likes them. I think the toys went over okay. He was pretty happy to play for a little while before he left Troichean Beinn. Maybe he'll like having someone to play with again...

[ Leo gives Hercules a curious look, as if wondering how he'll fare. Probably not too badly, considering the godhood thing. But it won't hurt to warn him anyway. ]

Can you be burned, by the way? I'm fireproof, so it didn't bother me, but I'm pretty sure Kaio might be too hot for most people to touch.

[A puppy? A puppy? Oh BOY! This god is a fiery dog?! Hercules' face lights up in complete delight.]

You're telling me that Kaio is a dog! And a pup at that? Zounds! [He grins and flashes a thumbs up. He's totally and completely okay with going to look for a flaming dog. Sure, it may only have one head (hopefully) but he's very, very much a dog person, titles aside.]

As for that...I am fireproof, yes. Anything short of a nuclear blast [He thumps his chest.] would have a hard time burning me. Who do you think you're speaking to, eh? Remember who my father is, and remember what my stepmother did for me.
