( That's right, she is checking with every last person who has shown her any kindness here. If she appears withdrawn and exhausted, she seems to pay it no heed. )

Señor. How do you fare in the wake of all the destruction? Have you need of anything?

[ He looks a ragged when the feed begins, and more than a little tired. It was hardly his easiest fight out there, and his first in the middle of a melee quite that gruesome. It sucked, and so did everything that happened at the Station. ]

Been better, [ he says, grateful that his voice doesn't come out in a croak this time, the way it had after Ryan hit him, accidentally or otherwise. ] I could use a nap or twelve after all that. And maybe some tacos.

[ But okay, this isn't all about him. There are other concerns. ] How're you? I heard they destroyed Caer Scima. You okay?

( Concern ripples across her tired features, and her eyes attempt to search his as best they can over the lockets. )

Are you injured? ( It doesn't look like it, but. Ah, yes: there's something they can both empathize with. ) I cannot fault you for it. Are you able to rest, wherever you are?

( It's about the both of them. Elizabeth closes her eyes and nods once. ) I am unharmed. Many others were not so fortunate.

I'm mostly okay. Got a bit of a shock, but I'll walk it off, [ he says tiredly. ] I'm back at the castle, so I'm... I'll be fine. No big deal.

[ His mind still feels a little frayed after all that happened in that last fight, his body unsteady. But give it time, and he'll be good as new. He's sure of it. ]

I saw. Got brutal out there, didn't it? [ He laughs weakly. ] Glad you're okay. Can't have the princess getting hurt, can we?

( Her gaze sharpens with concern. ) If you are in need of assistance, I would do whatever I might. It is a big deal if you are yet hurt.

( Elizabeth, naturally, has issues about people she cares about being hurt or worse. Losing anyone else simply is not an option for her. )

That would be an understatement. The knight who leads your forces has a thirst for blood. ( Her features soften, and she smiles. )

No more than we can have a demigod be harmed on our watch, am I correct? I am concerned for you, my friend.

( Time will see her bounce back. It'll just take a good deal of it to see a change in her. )

Don't worry about me, I'm fine, [ he insists, forcing a grin. ] I don't think they'd let you in here, anyway, Seelie territory and all. Besides, I've had worse.

[ Has he, though? Sometimes it's hard to remember. ]

So I noticed, [ Leo comments, a look of discomfort (and maybe something like distaste) on his face. ] I guess they were trying to kill us, but I just wanted to disarm them, if I could. Killing... isn't really my style. [ Monsters, sure! He'll kill the hell out of monsters. But people are a different story entirely, and he'll never forget the one time he did kill, manipulated by a goddess or not. ]

Guess I can't argue that. I just wish we had some nectar and ambrosia here. That would make risking my life for some war I don't care about a lot easier.

As you say. ( She intones softly, though she does not believe it. ) It would not matter to me. If a friend is in need and they would not see to your welfare, then by God, I would.

Too many have already died needlessly to add another to their number. Both here as well as at home.

( Wow, this went dark awfully fast. She draws her lips into a firm line, and nods. ) Nor mine. I am.. I am glad that you adhere to such a code of honour.

Hey, I nearly fell off the Grand Canyon before I even knew what monsters really were. I can handle this, okay? [ It's softer than he'd normally say it, though hardly gentle. He doesn't want to offend her, but he doesn't want Elizabeth getting caught up in concern for him, either. He's a demigod; he was basically born for this, even if he doesn't like it. ] You'd have to find me first. Here's a hint, though, in case it ever comes up - follow the flames. Just try not to get burned.

[ Which is basically his way of saying, "Fine, if you're going to worry about me, but don't get hurt on my account." He likes you, Liz. He doesn't want you hurt, Unseelie or no. ]

Yeah, agreed. [ Leo pauses, her phrasing confusing him for a moment. ] I dunno if I'd call it a "code of honor". I've killed plenty of monsters, but... people are a different story. Monsters come back. People... don't.

[ That he knows from experience, and he isn't eager to relive it. ]

Well, I dunno what it does in books, but I know it can help heal a demigod, as long as we don't eat too much of it. Mortals can't have any nectar or ambrosia, though, or they'll die instantly. Probably better we don't have it here.
