I - I'm worried about Rupes. We don't even know if he chose to hurt someone himself, or if he was being controlled. And if he was, then he doesn't deserve this any more than the rest of us.

The first week here, he told me he was anti-violence, that he'd rather exhaust all other options first. I think he meant that.
...Though I guess it gives some credibility to the theory that we're being controlled.

So, Kaoruko apparently said she killed Hiyori because he was annoying. And one of the groups from last week that came back injured mentioned that they were compelled to act a certain way, and when they gave in, it felt natural for them.
...I've felt that, too, back home. Where you feel like yourself, like whatever you're doing is your own idea, but it's not, really. There's something else that takes over and makes you think it is while everything else seems right.
Rupert was pretty adamant about not wanting violence that first week, too. So I think it would have to be something like that making them act, you know? Something putting those thoughts in their head so it feels like it came from them, all to make them play out their "role" in this whole thing.

Mm. Something similar has happened to me before as well. Usually, uhm, fighting demonic entities, they can do this.

Oh, gods, that's even creepier. But my eyes apparently turned gold when I was being controlled, so... you could be right about that. Hard to believe how this place took the whole murder thing and still managed to make it even worse.
Again, it's hard to say. . . whether it was a hint or just an odd aspect of that place. Or something drawn from someone's memories - things that happened to Ichiro were also part of that place we were in for some reason.

That's true, but... if it were me, I think I'd want people to know. Even if it bothered me, it's not about that anymore. It's affecting all of us now.

Yeah, it's kind of the same with someone on my ship back home. But he also had a really good reason not to like me.
