[ while luke may not know who leo is or that he is currently in the drabwurld, george and martha do — and they've been keeping an eye on him for their good bud, hephaesteus. though he may not know of them at all, they slither away from luke with two stones turned to gold to leave outside his door. with snake teeth marks embedded into it, they had asked a fairy to write them a note — and it's in poor chicken scratch he'll read: ]

[ and if leo's to catch the fairy before she flutters away and inquire as to who it's from, she'll tell him the messenger of the gods, then hesitate and two snakes. ]

[ Ooooookay, this has to be filed under some of the weirdest gifts he's ever received - right up there with the Fortune Cookie of Doom. He does chase the little fairy to ask about it, and when he hears "messenger of the gods," he knows exactly where to go, even if the snake part throws him off a bit. He hasn't met the guy yet, but he's heard plenty about Luke Castellan from Percy and the others - son of Hermes, supposed villain and/or hero of the second Titan war that Leo had completely missed while he was busy running from foster homes. Guess it's time to formally introduce himself.

After asking where to go to find the other demigod, he leaves immediately, turning the two golden stones over in his hand anxiously. He has to wonder what prompted this, because he's done absolutely nothing to warrant it, if you ask him. What brought it on, and what the heck does "and two snakes" mean? With the note in his pocket, Leo stares at the door for a moment, and finally knocks. ]

[ unfortunately, luke's out in the elven part of the world with thalia swept up in his embrace. but left behind are his two snakes, george and martha, who insist on coming to the celebrations much later. it's cryptic as hades and how he wooed persephone itself, but luke lets them be. ]

[ through the door he'll hear the loud singing of the macarena, a woman's voice laughing stop that, george! your hands don't go down there! (lets ignore the fact that snakes don't have hands), and then hears something in french, a deep rumbling no one wants translated as martha's laugh trickles loudly beneath the gap of the door. but the lock of said door does unlock with a little click if leo wishes to come inside and perhaps require some bleach much later. ]
