[ it's a lovely day to check out the art room! leo thought so, too. he's here when nier arrives, working on what appears to be a homemade ouija board? huh. it's... not very good, but he's only got one functional hand, so don't judge! ]

Hey! Did you swing by for a little DIY, too?

[ WOW. We really are furries this week starting Tuesday, but we will put that aside to look at the homemade ouija board? ]

I wanted to try out painting. [ Hovers. ] What made you want to make a board, Leo?

Well, you came to the right place! They've got all kinds of supplies here. It's kind of impressive, actually.

[ he glances at the wip ouija board and gives a little huff. ]

Because they gave us homework for the ouija board class, but they wouldn't let us take one out to do the homework. I've got to make my own because I am not going to fail. Why, did you need one, too? I can make more while I'm at it.

That’s right. I was wondering how we were supposed to.

[ He looks at the board some more. ]

I would like a board. Maya and I wanted to host a seance.

Oh, you guys are really taking the homework seriously, huh? Good for you. Here, you can take this one when I'm done.

Maybe just some help with the ABO class homework? I'm not much of a writer, but I don't want to fall behind, either.

I'm... Actually not that great of a writer, either. It took me a while to write my sister letters back at home.

Annie would be good help with it since she has some experience? [ YEAH? Mm. ] What about I paint you something? Alphinaud has been teaching me a bit, so it won't be awful.

I was thinking of Festus, though I might not remember him perfectly from our trip.

[ why would he just give Leo a random painting. ]

[ oh. that makes him smile, genuinely. ]

The only thing I've got from home is this.

[ with some difficulty, he pulls out an old, worn paper from his tool belt. after unfolding it, nier will find a crayon drawing of an ancient greek trireme - not that he'll know what it is - with a dragon's head at the mast. ]

But I could probably sketch something out, or just describe him to you?

week 7, monday.

[ it isn't that hard to find leo now that he's back! he's hanging out in winter's backyard with all the camping stuff. he's sparkly. and when he looks up at someone's approach, he looks surprised to see nier, but not at all unhappy. ]

Hey! Did you ever finish that painting?

[amain]

Did you not get to see it? I did have to take it back in to have a seal sprayed on it so it can withstand weather changes.

[ dumps this here, but Nier gestures for him to come over to Summer dorm. ]

he'll get up to follow nier, though! ]

Not yet, but I haven't really been going in the dorm much if I can help it. I was only gone for a week, and now everything's crowded and covered in glitter.

You can always sleep in Summer if you want. We have a bunch of hammocks.

[ And to let him in... He will see, yeah, beachy with a lot of hammocks. Nier goes to fetch the painting and here it is!

Nah, it’s fine. Tsuyu told me they have a spare bed in Spring, so I might take him up on that whenever I get tired of the whole camping thing. Loving the beach vibes here, though.

[ can’t go wrong with comfortable and casual! oh but when he sees the painting, he lights up like the sun. his eyes are practically sparkling! ]

That’s… amazing. He looks great! You and Alphi really work fast, huh?

[ He smiles at him because that's cute. He won't just say (gay) aloud for Leo's sake. ]

Yeah, we did, though we chose not to do that much homework.

Can't blame you for that one. I'm a little annoyed that I got the school curse last week, honestly? I actually did the homework. Me! Homework! Gross!

I did think it was weird that you were so into ouji boards, but I did enjoy the gift.

[ Anyway, he pats the painting. ]

Yours to take, though it's... Kind of big and a hassle to carry for when you head home.

Yeah, this... definitely won't fit into my tool belt.

[ that's not stoping him from looking excited, though? ]

I'll figure it out, though. I bet he'd love to see it for himself.

Mm... If we could visit other worlds, do you mind if I stop by?

It would be cool to see a dragon.

I'd say wait until after the prophecy is done and over with, but... no, I don't mind. You could meet the real Festus, when he's all rebuilt! And Jason and Piper would probably want to say hi, too.

All right. I don't... Know when the prophecy will be done, but I'll definitely stop by. If you want help with building him, I can at least carry things.
