[ on thursday morning, there are strange signs (except... they’re all misspelled? who did this?) pointing everyone in the direction of winter dorm. follow, and you’ll find that they lead not to the dorm itself (whose doors remain closed and locked), but around the corner of the dorm, where a nice little shack awaits.

it looks quite normal, if you ignore the torn curtains in the windows, and the way the lights flicker from inside. and there’s an odd lack of… well, anyone, as guests approach - though you may see movement out of the corner of your eyes - was there something there? you must have imagined it, because you’re definitely hearing things. the door to the shack gives a loud creak as it opens, all on its own, fog spilling out to pool around your feet. the dim lights within illuminate a nearby sign that reads:

enter if you dare.

(it's not a culture festival without a haunted house! if you’ve ever wanted to be jumpscared by all of winter dorm, now’s your chance!) ]

also like, chainsaw noises? there's a chainsaw revving somewhere.]

See, it's just-- just Denji's stupid chainsaw, we know what they're doing now so we can go. There's no point in staying.

[he jumps more out of yamato grabbing him than anything but his head whips around looking for the chainsaw noise. the chains rattling means he's glancing around the immediate area though.]

We've gotta stay! We challenged them to this thing so it's only fair we see it through.

[ahead of them is just a sort of mazelike thing, with sheets and stuff draped everywhere to make it claustrophobic. there's a big lump of something off further in the middle of the path.

the chainsaw noise comes a little closer, off to the right, and like. behind them, now.]

[ HE DOESN'T LIKE ANY OF THESE OPTIONS and is kind of squeezing himself closer to taichi for no reason at all because he's no scared there's just not any space, looking nervously behind them. where. where is the chainsaw. why is it closer. ]

It's not a challenge, it's just a stupid haunted mansion booth they stole from us, we should leave and not keep going deeper in.

[why is there a lump. he walks ahead, turning in the direction of the chainsaw but trying to keep an eye on the path ahead while yamato's following.]

You can turn around and go back by yourself if you want. [hahaha. but he's still grinning because currently he kind of thinks this is cool for something winter threw together pretty fast.] It can't be that big anyway.

[ there is a whisper from somewhere behind yamato that sounds suspiciously like cowardice




when he looks, there's nothing there. ]

[ any winter looking at yamato closely will see him tensing and twitching before he starts doing air bass chords? like he is trying to focus on something else?
